The town of Divide is just 7-8 to miles west of Woodland Park and is nestled just to the north of Pikes Peak at an elevation of 9165 feet. Divide is home to approximately 4000 residents that mostly commute to Colorado Springs for employment. Visitors flock to the area to see the many species of wildlife, pristine views and the many designated State and National Parks such as Mueller State Park and the Pike National Forest. During the past 100 years Divide was known for its ranching and as a gateway to the gold mining in Cripple Creek and Victor from the Colorado Springs area. Located at the central crossroads of Teller County, Divide is affectionately called “The center of the known universe”.
Divide is a quickly developing and expanding community with several nice subdivisions with fishing lakes, grocery store, restaurants and the new location of the UTE Pass Saddle Club.
